Who it suits
The tourism board describes it as lively, with many seafront bars, restaurants and nightclubs, plus surfing and diving lessons. It suits nightlife fans and families who want water sports. Expect evening noise in the central strip. A room away from the promenade is the usual advice.
Beaches
- Las Vistas (Arona): about 850 m of calm water behind breakwaters, suited to children, with adapted access. It is the only Arona beach on the 2026 Blue Flag list.
- El Camisón (Arona): a few minutes’ walk from Las Vistas, a calm, breakwater-protected beach.
- El Bobo: a central beach with volcanic sand, next to large hotels. No disabled access is listed.
Things to note
- The area spans two councils, so official pages give different names and walking times. Check the hotel’s address.
- The Francisco Andrade Fumero promenade follows the coast through the resort and is good for walking.
- Hospiten Sur, a private hospital, is in the resort.
