Parts of the coast
- El Duque: a small urban beach fronted by luxury hotels, with a promenade to neighbouring beaches. El Duque (Sur) is on the 2026 Blue Flag list.
- Fañabé: pale sand, gentle waves and a children’s area. The island board describes it as one of the liveliest beaches in the south. It is not on the 2026 Blue Flag list, although the island board’s page still says it has one.
- Torviscas: pale sand behind a breakwater that keeps the water usually calm. On the 2026 Blue Flag list.
- La Pinta: a small beach by the Puerto Colón marina, calm behind breakwaters and suited to families.
- Troya: the oldest and most visited Costa Adeje beach, with the fullest accessibility kit in Adeje.
Who it suits
The tourism board describes Costa Adeje as busy and upmarket, with shops, boutiques and luxury hotels, and says it suits families, groups of friends and thrill-seekers. The council’s claim of the island’s highest concentration of five-star hotels is its own. We have not counted it independently.
Getting around
Tenerife South airport is about 18 to 20 minutes by car. Siam Park is close. Walking distances to buses and shops are in the without-a-car guide.
