Tenerife airports and transfers

How to get from Tenerife South and Tenerife North airports to each resort: drive times and bus lines, from official sources.

Tenerife South (TFS)

• Drive times: about 15 to 30 minutes to Arona’s resorts, and about 20 minutes to Adeje. Across the computed census, the median is about 33 minutes.
• Bus: TITSA line 40 runs from the airport through Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. Night line 711 serves Los Cristianos from arrivals.
• Taxi and car: taxi ranks and car hire are at the airport. Confirm pick-up points with the rental firm, because Aena’s pages do not show them.

Tenerife North (TFN)

• Most resorts are about an hour by car from the north airport. Puerto de la Cruz is nearer.
• Buses link the airport to La Laguna and Santa Cruz.

Which airport

Tenerife South carries most UK traffic, with flights from 23 UK airports in 2025 (UK CAA). Tenerife North had only a small number of UK passengers, so most UK visitors fly into the south.
